The REACH regulation (EC) Nr. 1907/2006 is an European regulation for chemical substances that became effective on June 1st, 2007. REACH stands forRegistration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. Being an EU regulation, REACH is equally and immediately valid in all EU member states.

The REACH system is based on the principle of the direct responsibilityof the industry. According to the concept „no data, no market“, within the field of application, only those chemical substances may be put on the market if they have been previously registered. The manufacturers, but also market introducers like converters and distributors of these chemical substances must be in possession of an individual registration number – as far as these substances fall within the field of application.
In cooperation with our partners (manufacturers), the company Albert Schweizer KG in its role as converter and distributor, provides an EU Safety Datasheet and / or  a product-specific REACH declaration where applicable. This applies to the following insulation materials for the electrical industry:

• Surface insulation materials (NOMEX®, laminates, films, pressboard)
• Adhesive tapes
• Insulating and protection sleeves
• Impregnation and dripping varnishes and resins
• Bandaging materials
• Litz wires
• Technical plastics
