UL-Registration
Many of the electrical insulating materials from our range are UL listed, which means that the applications for which they can be used is almost unlimited.
Our products that have been individually UL tested (component card):
- Nomex® paper
- Mylar® PET films, Melinex® PET films, Kapton® films
- Teonex® films
- Adhesive tapes (see datasheets)
- Insulating sleeves VAC 80, VPG 80, VPG 40, VSC 75, VSX 75
- Impregnating varnishes and resins, trickle resins, casting resins
and coating varnishes from Schenectady-Beck
We also have a wide range of products in stock from precertified insulation systems (system component card).
SCHWEIZER UL-SYSTEM
Use our precertified UL system Schweizer 155-1 file no. 102600-E213346 for insulation class F to obtain UL recognition for your motor, transformer, etc. quickly and cost effectively.
Applying our system to your company is only subject to UL-specific charges. The system itself is available for you to use free of charge.
Important:
Before you use UL-listed materials, make sure that you are aware of the important differences with regard to UL listing.
Component-card (individual materials testing)
- Material is tested individually and is classified in one insulation class (temperature class).
The insulation class specified is universal and is valid irrespective of insulation systems.
System-Component-card (individual materials testing)
Combined test performed on all the components of a defined insulation system.
Components with weaker thermal properties can be enhanced in conjunction with components with much stronger thermal properties.
The insulation class specified for an individual component (e.g. insulating sheeting) is only valid for one clearly defined insulation system, which must be strictly observed.
The insulation class specified is universal and is valid irrespective of insulation systems.
